Okay,
First in December Owner gets very very very mad at me cause the fire panel is having issues.
Sadly last owner didn't take care of property and new owner doesn't understand you may have to actually spend money fix problem.
I was suppose to become an electrician to save the day..
YEAH RIGHT..

December 21th we had a power outage.. Over 120,000 people were without power. I was without from Friday to Sunday.
Sunday the hotel power goes out from 4:30am - 12:00pm.
Now here is the funny part. Guests decided taht they shouldn't have to actually pay for the room because the power went out.. They were mad cause I told them they were still paying.
Got cussed out because I caused the power to go out (guess I cut the lines?? LOL)
Then got cussed out by same guests when power came back on.. IT wasn't right that they got the hotels power on before peoples houses... LOL... AGAIN...

Then last week I was told I was being GROOMED
That is a nice way of saying they don't have anyone else to do the dirty work..
Had to fire an assistant manager of another hotel. She spent most of her time at work knitting so it really didn't matter that much..
I'm having to play nice with my sister hotel.. This is fun.
I get to work with a man who call's my roommate DORk (cause he can't remember her Name)
and enjoys sexually harrassing girls under him.. I'm in for a real treat..

Well, through out my cleaning up and investigating I have learned a lot...
1. He is a manager and has NO clue how to do a bank deposit....
Okay how can you make sure no one is stealing from you if you can't even read the report and figure out how much belongs in the bank.
2. He actaully thought that since they are selling a lot of rooms they should have thousands of dollars to spend.. Tried to explain to him that they don't have money but he didnt' understand.
3. he doesn't understand basic computer and can't even work the front desk...
4. He or the other employees spend a lot of hotel money for personal use.. Like a leather jacket!!

WOW... So basically I have to train a new hire to do everything a manager is suppose to do because he literally has no clue.. This is soooo funny...

My owner is crazy to say the least....
But now he likes me for the month.. So I still have a job... Go figure....

Well, I'm beginning to think I need to go back to school and get a real job..
When your owner is crazy it makes your life miserable.

I was asked to talk to him about our fire panel.. It is on the blitz and will have to be fixed..
I got.... well.... 1 whole sentence before we went off. I was not suppose to fix the problem legally. i made the mistake of trying to tell him the truth..

If the fire marshall comes I'm giving them HIS number... Let him deal with his hote being closed down...

He is mad cause I won't sell his vitamins.. I would rather be unheathly poor in a carboard box then the be rich and miserable like him... He is NEVER happy...

Well, IF I can manage to keep my job I have found the house I want... It is a little work to get it.. right now they are fixing a few problems to the house then we can sign papers.. Looks like January we MAY move in.... Hopefully I can keep my job so I can enjoy the house for a few yaers...

Not much has changed.. Owner is crazy....
Bought a new hotel and can't understand why they can't pay thier bills...
DUH.. You have to buy one that actually paid thier bills just once in their lives...
His favorite employee is a manager wanna be.. He has no clue how to do his job so he is perfect to tell others what to do in theirs...
Thats life..
Family came for thanksgiving.. It was a great break....

Well start with the good.
Agent life is busy.. but okay... Open houses can be good sometimes. If you are lucky you can find someone who doesn't have an agent but just looking. Our last one had a lady who will be moving in Feb. so we told her we would call her in Jan. and start showing her houses.. They are good way to get your business card out. Someone may just be nosey and wanted to see the house but may take your card and pass it on.. We also call expired listings and For Sale By Owners which we call Fisbos. You get a lot of NO's but all you need is 1 yes a month to survive.
I'm now taking the fast start class that roommate took. they are having a weekend one. It is interesting. And they remind us of all the things we can't say, you know those things that will cause you to break the law.. Like you wouldn't like this neighborhood because it has a high crime rate, or because of who lives in the neighborhood. Lots of fair houseing laws we have to follow, but they are easy to remember.

Now on to the nightmare's.. Wednesday morning the fire alarm goes off. because we are monitored the fire department was not happy. Wednesday night it went off again. they told us we had to fix it or they would close us down. I couldn't get a hold of the people who should have come out to look at it, so I had to have a fire patrol for a day in a half.. The fire marshalll is not happy with us but I can't do much about it.. It is a faulty wire and it is not easy to find.
I lived at the hotel until friday evening. Then I finally went home.. I haven't had any false fire alarms so I guess that is good. Well, the only positive is I got away from an annoying dog and I got to relax in a jacuzzi room.. The jacuzzi was very very nice....

Went to the jonny appleseed festival today.. It was fun.. I ate a buffalo burger, beef stew, sweet corn, and carmel popcorn.. Saw some old stuff for sell and drank some homemade root beer. If you can't tell, I go for the food...

It's a day... just a day...

Well, folks it has been awhile so I have alot to write about...
Real Estate is hard but if you work hard you can make a little dough...
Dar is doing all of the work since I still work at the hotel... So far we have 3 clients and so maybe in a month or so we might make a sell. Our first open house we didn't have a single person come.. I'm glad there was a chair so I just sat and relaxed..

Well, I'm also starting to sell Doc's vitimins and his new energy drink... I didn't think I would want to try but I really like the products.. I have now seen changes in Dar and myself that are good. So why not.. It is a lot of work to.. but why not.. It's not like I'm busy anyway..

Bad Luck??? I went to salvation army and bought a black dress with lace on it.. It really doesn't look that great but it was only 2 dollars. I joked and said. Well now I have a funeral dress...
WELL, 2 days later.........
Friday morning roommate gets a call that 2 very close friends of her family (married couple) pull out infront of a semi and died.. Funeral Monday.. Then friday night she got a call telling her that her grandfather died and funeral is Wednesday.. THEN sunday afternoon she got a call that a good friend town is died and her funeral is Tuesday.. I WILL NEVER JOKE ABOUT NEEDING A FUNERAL DRESS AGAIN... AND NO<<>>>>>

To make matters worse.. SHE gets to leave and go to PA.. We are dog sitting this very annoying dog and guess who gets to take care of him.... K.C. hates the new visitor and he barks constantly at him.. HELP HELP>>> I"M GOING DOG CRAZY>>>>>

I Want My Millions

Well, I am almost done with the real estate class. I have next week off due to july 4th. and then I will have 2 1/2 weeks more of class.. WOW.... Then on to the test. Then on to many many fees then a year of hard work, and maybe just maybe I might make some money..

We talked with our teacher the other day.. D and I plan to be partners in this.. We asked her how much we could hope to make in the first year. She appolized and said "well, maybe 30,000 but don't expect much more than that.. WOW... She didn't realize we live off of about that much.. I hope we can do that well our first year.. I could quit my hateful job and have a great day....

Well, They will never fire me now.. Doc made it clear if I don't do good I would be de-moted to something like housekeeper.. Man, people make it hard to get fired these days...

Guess I'll continue job hunting.. I WILL LOVE THE DAY WHEN I CAN SAY ADIOS TO THAT CRAZY DOCTOR

I quickly respond "LONG TERM STAYS only get fridges"

I then say "Mam, I do not have a fridge to give you"

She ponders a little then states "No, I'm fine"

Here is my latest guest I'm still confused about.
Mr. B is paying for the room.
Miss. C is the one in the room.
Miss. C and other men spend time in the room.
Mr. B says he is paying for the room because she has no where to go and he feels bad for her.
Miss. C doesn't even know the guys last name that is paying for the room.
Miss. C's men friends don't seem to want to be seen by Mr. B
And though we never saw a child, never heard a child, there were many many diapers in the room.
Now here is the interesting part. SHE choose to put her king size comforter in a little teeny tiny dryer and is now saying that we must pay for it because it got burned. It is not even dry....
She is not happy with me cause I stated that we are not responsible for damages..
She's now gone at least and all of her men folk as well.

My favorite is when they guy gets a room at 10am and checks out at 4pm.. generally a jacuzzi at FULL price and asks that we don't tell anyone that he is here.. UMMMM Wonder what the misses would think...

I'm taking real estate classes..Roomate is taking them to.. We decided that since we share everything anyway that we would work as a team.. That way after a few months of getting started maybe, just maybe together we could make enought money to live off of.. THEN DOC GOES BYE BYE>>>>>>>>>> YEAH>>>>>>>>> YAHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm looking for a new job as I speak.. However the market here is not very good for decent paying jobs.... Wish me luck.....
